Medical Detoxification
As one of the top providers of behavioral healthcare services, Bridgeway Behavioral Health offers different options for detoxification from drug or alcohol dependence. After assessing the need and severity of withdrawal symptoms, our medical team will put together an individualized treatment plan to accommodate your needs. Detoxification is supervised by a Washington University Physician, Registered Nurses, and trained staff to make sure that clients are comfortable and stable throughout the process. In addition, BBH offers Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), a SAMHSA approved evidence-based practice, as an option to provide a comfortable withdrawal from drugs or alcohol. We are one of the very few St. Louis Drug and Alcohol Treatment centers that offer this service.

Your initial assessment will take approximately 2 hours. Once complete, the treatment team will work with you to set a treatment plan. If you are receiving Medication Assisted Treatment on an Outpatient basis to help you step down from your addiction you will receive your first dose of medication that day. You must adhere to the treatment plan and return daily to be evaluated by the RN. You must also meet with your Peer Specialist/Counselor, and as soon as you are physically stable, you will begin seeing your Outpatient Counselor and begin attending group therapy sessions.
Upon discharge, you will be transferred to Bridgeway’s Outpatient Program. Residential, Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient services are available to you.
