Jess Davidson

Clinical Supervisor

Personal traits and the fact that she enjoys being a support to others drew her to this field. She recalls growing up wanting to be a teacher, and eventually went into teaching with her Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education from Illinois State University. From there she went directly into graduate school and graduated  with a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy/Counseling. She is currently a Registered Art Therapist with the American Art Therapy Association, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri, and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois.

She has been in this field for since 2004. Her first job was with the Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois working as an art therapist with both the women and children dealing with the effects of domestic violence. She came to BBH in 2008 and initially started as a counselor at the women’s residential program in St. Charles. In 2009 she started working at the adult outpatient site in St. Charles where she counseled men and women for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders and led group therapy and psycho education groups. She then moved into the clinical supervisor role in December of 2011. She continues in that role for the Bridges to Success adolescent substance abuse outpatient treatment program in Ollivette.
